Nike Zoom Rival SD 2 Track and Field Throwing Shoes

Whether rotating or gliding, the Nike Zoom Rival SD 2 delivers a flexible fit that you can secure for competition. The synthetic leather upper offers contoured support while the integrated strap locks down the midfoot, enhancing your precision for launch.

Synthetic Leather Upper

Constructed using synthetic leather, the upper of the Zoom Rival SD 2 provides seamless support. The comfortable, durable leather construction utilises a no-sew structure meaning, irritations and distractions are prevented. Alongside this, the shoes have mesh inserts to enhance breathability which has been supplied to your feet, meaning a constant flow of air prevents feet from becoming warm and uncomfortable. This combination of materials supplies your feet with a secure, stable fit, meaning the shoes adapt to the shape of your foot easily, and an integrated strap further assists in keeping your feet comfortable. The strap wraps around the arch of your foot, for a secure fit, preventing movement and in-shoe slippage from occurring, and keeping you focused on the competition ahead. Completing the upper is a rubber toe tip which adds to the overall durability of the Zoom SD 2, especially during planting and forward movements.

Durable EVA Midsole

EVA resides in the midsole to supply resilient underfoot comfort and protection allowing you to perform at the optimum level. Light in weight and low in profile, it spares your joints as you plant your foot down onto hard, unforgiving surfaces; perfect for when you're throwing in the circle. A reduced cross-rocker in the forefoot provides a stable ride with the perfect amount of ground contact adding to the overall feel whilst on the track.

Durable Rubber Outsole

Supplying you with traction and support underfoot, the shoes have a durable rubber outsole, that keeps you on your feet during every twist and turn. A Pebax plate sits beneath the forefoot to increase rigidity and durability, providing you with a stiff, stable platform to throw from. Nike have used a textured outsole to provide you with enhanced grip on wet surfaces.
