I was taught by Daniel Quarcoo an artiste of Novica and i teach some young people now. starting on my own was very difficult especially when i did not have enough money to complete orders that were not paid for. I went to work for a master called Adofor who was an exporter to earn an income. Later i did some works and started going on exhibitions. I had to practice always and craft more unique designs to master this craft. my favorite thing about my art is the ashanti stools and how i design them and the challenging part is how to craft animals. I got my inspirations from dreams and the bible. the qualities i look out for from artisans who want to craft designs with me is the artist must be able to carve five ashanti stools perfectly in a day. i work with my assistants who do the sandpapering and the finishing of designs. my difficult moment in life was when i experienced financial difficulty and was not getting orders for my work and i had to take care of a family of four at that same time. my hopes and dreams is to become a recognized artiste all over the world and also to be able to help the poor and needy. my difficult moment in life was when i experienced financial difficulty and was not getting orders for my work and i had to take care of a family of four at that same time. my hopes and dreams is to become a recognized artiste all over the world and also to be able to help the poor and needy. my difficult moment in life was when i experienced financial difficulty and was not getting orders for my work and i had to take care of a family of four at that same time. my hopes and dreams is to become a recognized artiste all over the world and also to be able to help the poor and needy.
