Technical Mesh Upper
Made using a technical mesh with First Mile recycled thread construction, the Puma Deviate Nitro shoes keep feet feeling fresh and cool. First Mile yarn is made with plastic which has been responsibly collected from Taiwan, to keep you confident in your run, and confident in the sustainability of your shoes. Using strategic perforations, the shoes supply feet with constant airflow to ensure feet remain cool and comfortable even during the more challenging periods of your run. This ethical upper has moisture-wicking properties to reduce the growth of sweat, keeping your feet cool, dry and cosy throughout. A PET heel cup works to keep your heel securely in place and adds stability to your run. A flexible collar keeps your foot securely in place and a breathable tongue prevents irritation or abrasion during exercise. Working alongside this, the shoes have a traditional lace-up system to prevent in-shoe slipping from occurring. Finally, the Deviate Nitro FM has reflective details to enhance your visibility when training or running in low-light conditions.
Nitro Foam MidsoleProviding outstanding levels of cushioning and excellent energy return, the Deviate Nitro FM utilises a Nitro Foam compound. The advanced nitrogen-injected foam has been designed to provide you superior responsiveness and cushioning for propulsion and soft landings, all in a lightweight package. This midsole employs a supercritical process, by pushing nitrogen gas into a compacted plastic embryo, which is then injected into the foam. This then creates air bubbles through the foam, which helps to elevate the foam's rebound and responsiveness. The midsole helps to prevent injuries or discomfort from occurring on your joints, which sometimes occurs when striking down on hard and changing surfaces. Additionally, the shoe features INNOPLATE technology that employs a carbon fibre plate for maximum propulsion, turning your foot into a lever for efficient energy transfer during toe-off. This combination of materials and technologies creates a lightweight and bouncy racing shoe for your feet to thrive under pressure.
PUMAGRIP OutsoleThe Deviate Nitro has a PUMAGRIP outsole which is a durable performance rubber compound that's built for all-surface traction and combines the perfect mix of hardness for great durability and softness to ensure grip. This outsole is optimised for wet and dry grounds, so you can feel confident in your choice of footwear.
