There is a fixed hood, providing you coverage from both wind and rain and a full-length zip gives you the option to control the airflow in the jacket and makes it an easy garment to take on/off. The hood and cuffs have stretch edging, ensuring they fit nice and snug, preventing windchill from entering and an adjustable elastic hem drawstring allows you to change the fit of the jacket.
