Having been decorated in blue for several hundred years, White Fluted Half Lace was separated from its decoration and given a life of its own. The turn of the 19th century was a period of evolution and growth in terms of Royal Copenhagen dinnerware. The artistic director at that time redesigned the blue fluted pattern and introduced a number of new additions including the White Fluted Half Lace. The Fluted design was given an elegant lace demi-border, creating a romantic service. Youthful but with character.
