It is a common misconception that Hans Solo’s flight through the Kessel Run was based on speed. Done in less than 12 parsecs, it sounds like the smuggler pilot managed to blast his ship through impossible warp speeds down a race faster than anyone else, especially when you learn that the Kessel Run is normally 18 parsecs! But, alas, a parsec is distance. Just a bit over 3 light years, in fact.  But, don’t get us wrong. The Kessel Run at any distance is pretty impressive. Imagine: a giant zone where sensors fail and you’re flying blind, risking running into asteroids and Imperial ships at any turn. Sheesh!That’s why it took 18 parsecs, so pilots could avoid all the bad and keep from pulling their hair out. But, our favorite smuggler has the skills to weave through all manner of obstacles, cutting down the distance by a fourth! That said, we’re not sure he actually did it without pulling out any hair. There’s a reason his best buddy is a Wookie and we think we know the secret. Let’s just say it has something to do with this Star Wars Han Solo Wig, assured to keep the scoundrel hair style no matter what run you’re flying. But, don’t tell Hans we told you. (He does shoot first, after all!)
