Salomon Cross Pro 2 Trail Running Shoes
The ultra-grippy Cross Pro trail shoes are back with a new heel counter to optimise the fit and up the comfort.
Sock-Like Upper
Providing you with ultimate comfort and protection in an array of trail running terrains, the Cross Pro 2's are exceptionally versatile. The stretchy, lightweight and breathable materials are very similar to their predecessors, however, this version uses a 4-way stretch extensible sock-like upper, that has integrated MULTI-FIT technology. This MULTI-FIT adaptation means the shoes fit perfectly to your feet, providing you with the perfect fit you expect from your shoes. Not only this, but the materials have exceptional moisture-wicking properties, to further assist your comfort. This construction ensures that air is efficiently removed from the surface of your skin, allowing you to feel like you can go for longer. The upper is reinforced with Matryx Exo-Skeleton, which covers the toes, heel and midfoot, to protect you from any bumps or knocks that you may receive. It will also keep your foot in a healthy position. Quick laces will allow you to quickly secure or loosen the fit whilst still keeping up the movement. A flat ankle collar will reduce the risk of rubbing and chafing from occurring, whilst it will also prevent debris from dirt and mud from entering the shoes.
EnergyCell MidsoleThe midsole is constructed from EVA to form the EnergyCell midsole, which provides excellent shock-absorbing properties to help protect the foot from shock and impact force. This multi-functional midsole will provide both comfort and protection, as it has dual-density EVA. Towards the bottom, the EVA is extremely firm, which will absorb shocks instantly and effectively, preventing them from causing any damage to the sole of the foot. Energy produced from this will also be returned as rebound, which will give you an added spring in your step. The higher you get in the midsole, the EVA becomes less densely packed, which will make every step feel comfortable. For additional comfort, an Ortholite sockliner is used to create a cooler, drier, healthier and better-cushioned environment under the foot. Completing the midsole is an Ortholite sockliner which cushions the foot so you can go further for longer in complete comfort.
Contragrip OutsoleTackle any trails in supreme confidence that you won't be let down by your shoe's grip. Using Contagrip, the outsole is able to form a solid grip between shoe and terrain. The rubber is also extremely durable and abrasion-resistant, which means long-term control is guaranteed. When you are running on the wet and muddy ground, the shoe's deep lugs dig into the ground, which will anchor you in place. This will also benefit you by acting as a solid base for you to push off from when taking a stride, as well as digging into the ground when braking and changing direction.
