Salomon Speedcross Peak Women's Trail Running Shoes
The Salomon Speedcross Peak is a new addition to the legendary Speedcross family. A lightweight trail shoe built with an aggressive Contagrip outsole for great off-road traction, a precision Sensifit upper with quicklace offers a secure, snug fit, also extra protection around the toe and heel with All-Terrain protection.
Synthetic and Textile Upper
Constructed using a textile upper, the Speedcross Peak has a stitch-free construction that provides a smooth, glove-like fit and feel. This upper ensures that your foot stays in place with every stride for added comfort and support throughout your runs. Connected to the upper on both sides is the tongue to prevent debris from entering the shoe and keep the tongue centred and comfortable against the foot. The stitch-free upper sits comfortably against the skin and reduces the risk of chafing and irritability. Sensifit technology employs welded overlays to wrap the foot in a firm, customised fit; they help anchor you to the midsole and reduce in-shoe slippage so that you can enjoy smooth, distraction-free strides. The upper also uses a super durable synthetic fabric which resists the risk of wear and tears to bring you a shoe perfect for any trail. Not only will the synthetic fabric reduce abrasion it will also allow the shoe to look newer for longer. Completing the upper is a Quick Lacing System which provides a minimalistic and strong lace for a one-pull tightening ensuring you get the shoes on and off with minimal effort. A lace pocket is useful as it allows the laces to be stowed away making sure the laces do not get caught or snagged on any sticks or bushes out on the trail, reducing distractions.
Cushioned MidsoleThe multi-functional midsole of the Speedcross Peak will provide both comfort and protection and will absorb shock instantly and effectively, preventing it from causing any damage to the sole. The energy produced from this will also be returned as rebound, which will give you an added spring in your step. The higher you get in the midsole, the cushioning becomes less densely packed, which will make every step feel comfortable. An OrthoLite sockliner also exists underfoot to provide the foot with a cushioned and cooler environment, whilst also reducing the risk of irritation caused by rubbing and chafing.
Contagrip Rubber OutsoleTackle any trails in supreme confidence that you won't be let down by your shoe's grip. Using Contagrip, the outsole can form a solid grip between the shoe and the terrain. Contagrip is built for maximum traction on varied terrain and is durable enough to withstand the toughest trails. Built with large lugs, the Speedcross delivers optimum grip to keep you grounded on tough terrain. When you are running on the wet and muddy ground, the shoe's deep chevron lugs dig into the ground, anchoring you in place. This will also benefit you by acting as a solid base for you to push off from when taking a stride, as well as digging into the ground when braking and changing direction.
