Breathable Air Mesh Upper
Just like the Axon 2, these shoes have a sleek breathable air mesh upper, that delivers a ride like no other. The perforated mesh allows cool air to flow throughout the shoe to remove any uncomfortable heat build-up so you can remain cool, dry and comfortable at all times through your run no matter how short or long it is. The air mesh acts as a lightweight protective barrier whilst synthetic overlays provide strategic flexibility and encourage a natural running motion without compromising support. Completing the upper is the lacing system which locks down the midfoot to reduce in-shoe slippage so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.
PWRRUN MidsoleSupporting the foot is Saucony's innovative PWRRUN technology that provides lightweight and springy cushioning to keep your feet comfortable at all times. The new faster and more responsive geometry provides a luxury soft and stable base underfoot that reduces impact and strain on the foot. Compared to the previous model the EVA in the midsole uses 36% bio-based foam for a lighter footprint. FormFit technology has been used within the midsole to create a dynamic fit system. By adapting to the shape and motion of the runner's foot, FormFit eliminates unwanted movement within the shoe to improve efficiency within your gait cycle. Not only does FormFit work to provide a comfortable and supportive fit but, it is also highly flexible and hardwearing increasing the overall durability and comfort so that you can run stronger, not harder. The sophisticated cushioning will enable a more enjoyable, comfortable run as you can maximise both focus and performance. Unlike the Axon 2, the 3 has a cutout at the arch which reduces the weight and provides a faster feel when out running.
Carbon Rubber OutsoleDesigned to be flexible and long-lasting, the Saucony Axon 3 Running Shoes feature a durable, carbon rubber outsole. The rubber base is able to form a solid connection with the running surface, providing traction in all weather. The strong connection with the ground will also provide a firm base for you to push off from, making your gait cycle more efficient. The chevron patterned tread is engineered to improve flexibility and durability, this combined with the abrasion-resistant properties of the rubber means the shoe will protect itself over a long period of time.
