Saucony Peregrine 14 GORE-TEX Trail Running Shoes

The upper of the Peregrine 14 has received an upgrade compared to previous versions. The shoes feature a two-tone mesh design with GORE-TEX to ensure you remain focused and ready to conquer every trail no matter the conditions outside. The shoes feature a GORE-TEX Invisible Fit membrane that provides best-in-class waterproof protection without making the shoe feel stiff or bulky. Whilst keeping water out, the shoes still allow cool air to permeate and heat to escape, preventing an uncomfortable build-up of heat and giving your feet the perfect conditions to thrive in. Increasing protection Saucony has included a durable ripstop in the heel and a mudguard in the vamp, to provide you with protection from trail debris. Still ultralight, the construction will ensure that feet remain exceptionally comfortable whilst the sock-like fit of the shoes will ensure a secure and flexible fit. The uppers are moisture-wicking to prevent an uncomfortable build-up of sweat and moisture from occurring and keep your feet dry throughout. Extremely secure, the lacing system will hold the midfoot in place, reducing movement within the shoe so you can enjoy uninterrupted strides. The lacing system features a newly designed protective eye row with suede textile reinforcement, increasing the durability of the shoe as well as providing a stronghold, so you can run without the need to constantly tie your laces. Finishing the upper, a cushioned tongue will remove the risk of irritation being caused by rubbing and chafing, and will also block the entry of dirt and debris.

Running through the midsole of the Peregrine 14 is a PWRRUN unit. PWRRUN cushioning provides a responsive feel perfect when pushing yourself uphill or driving downhill with confidence. The PWRRUN compound is a thick material that has shock-absorbing properties to reduce impact and strain on the foot, helping you to put those miles in whilst reducing the risk of injury. FormFit technology has been incorporated into the midsole to create a dynamic fit system. By adapting to the shape and motion of the runner's foot, the shoes can eliminate millimetres of movement with each stride, which in turn provides a more comfortable and stable run. This 3D approach to fit uses an underfoot cradle construction that is topped with cushioning that shapes your foot. Not only does FormFit work to provide a comfortable and supportive fit but, it is also highly flexible and hardwearing increasing the overall durability and comfort over long periods. FormFit surrounds the foot in a made-for-me feel which accommodates the feet giving them a feeling like these shoes were made specifically for you. A PWRRUN+ sockliner offers additional comfort for your trail run. Finishing the midsole of the Peregrine 14 is a PWRRUN+ sockliner providing instant step-in comfort.

Finishing the shoes is a PWRTRAC rubber outsole that provides maximum traction and grip on changing trail surfaces, keeping your gait cycle as efficient as possible. Alongside this, are 5mm lugs which grip deep onto soggy trails, providing you excellent support on changing terrain. The ascent/descent-friendly lug configuration allows for ultimate levels of control. This means take-offs, turns and stops are super responsive and you can run in confidence knowing your shoes can handle variable terrain with ease. Not only is this super grippy but it is also lightweight, helping to reduce the weight of the shoes so you stay light on your feet.
