3D Mesh and TPU Upper
The Scarpa Spin Infinity Trail Running Shoe has been built with a 3D mesh and TPU upper for extreme breathability and durability. Micro perforations in the mesh allows heat and vapour to escape, as well as any moisture built up from within the shoe. These pores transport it all to the outside of the shoe where it can dissipate, and dry quickly, keeping your feet feeling cool, dry and fresh. These perforations also work to allow cool, fresh air into the shoe, where it can then circulate. This airflow helps your feet to breathe and avoids uncomfortable, sweaty sensations. This fresh environment also discourages bacteria growth, so unpleasant smells become a thing of the past. The sock like fit of this upper grips the foot firmly but gently for a comfortable feel that puts you totally in control. A traditional lacing system provides further security, anchoring the running shoe to your foot for confident strides. TPU film in high traffic areas such as the toe cap and along the lacing system provides protection against abrasion for long lasting wear that won't let you down.
EVA MidsoleA compressed EVA platform resides underfoot for lightweight, responsive cushioning. Generous, soft and durable, it spares your joints as you strike down onto hard, unforgiving surfaces. Exceptionally lightweight, the EVA ensures long-lasting cushioning to keep you comfortable on long distance days. EVA is extremely firm, which will absorb shocks instantly and effectively, preventing them from causing any damage to the sole of the foot. Energy produced from this will also be returned as rebound, which will give you an added spring in your step. The midsole ensures you're ready for the unpredictable trails and tough terrain. As well as this, a low-density EVA insert on the forefoot provides additional shock absorption whilst the TPU film ensure improved responsiveness and energy.
Vibram Megagrip OutsoleDeveloped using a Vibram Megagrip outsole, the Scarpa Spin provides extreme grip and traction for all surface wear. Developed for extremely slippery terrain, the extremely durable rubber can form a solid bond with the ground to anchor you in place. Despite facing abuse from rough ground, the rubber stands up against this, deflecting the blows and retaining a strong shape and structure. Ensuring multi-directional grip the outsole ensures traction on varied terrain ensuring confident footing on varied terrain. The durable rubber provides a strong grip on the most challenging terrain; it works to protect itself from damage, and protect users from losing control and slipping. Completing the outsole are lugs which dig deep into the ground when braking or changing direction. The deep lugs are able to anchor the foot into the wet and muddy ground, securing you into place whilst also forming a solid base to push off from.
