The Rocketman 1:12 Scale Action Figure: Republic Pictures' iconic flying suit first appeared in 1949's 12 chapter serial series, King of the Rocketmen , featuring Tris Coffin as two fisted rocket propulsion expert Jeff King. In 1952, the rocket powered avenger soared into action in two subsequent serials; 'Radar Men from the Moon', with George Wallace as Commando Cody and later that year, featuring Judd Holdren as Larry Martin in, Zombies of the Stratosphere . Holdren also appeared as the now masked hero in a twelve episode theatrical television release entitled, Commando Cody: Sky Marshal of the Universe . Finally, in 2004, amateur filmmaker Gary Hughes produced an homage to the flying suit serial characters in, Thirty Second Doom .
