Lightweight Cordura Mesh Upper
Surrounding the upper of the Speed Carbon RC is an updated lightweight Cordura mesh, which will provide you with supreme breathability. As you begin to exercise, the feet will start to warm up and sweat and the mesh will allow hot air and moisture to escape. This will then be replaced by cooler air, and this process will keep you feeling cool and ventilated over the course of your run. A traditional lacing system will allow you to find a fit that is both comfortable and secure, which will leave you feeling in complete control. The performance tongue will sit comfortably on the ankle and allow you to make unrestricted movements and an internal fit system feels as though the shoe was made for you. A women's-specific racing footbed provides soft comfort directly in contact with the sole of the feet, and over time it will fit specifically to your feet.
Kinetic Light MidsoleScott's lightest and most responsive foam to date. Enhancing the properties of their existing high rebound foam (Kinetic Foam), this new lightweight foam has even more rebound in an even lighter package. Soft, light and responsive and with high levels of durability, the Speed Carbon RC allows you to run faster for longer. A Carbitex GearFlex Carbon fibre plate offers unique benefits by being dynamically flexible, responding to you by increasing stiffness as you increase speed, and retaining flexibility when running. By dynamically increasing stiffness as it's flexed gives you more power and efficiency when you need it, and ease of movement when you don't. Completing the midsole is an Evolved Rocker2 (ER2) which builds on 10 years of continued R and D, creating Scott's most efficient running platform yet. It applies an advanced understanding of biomechanical principles to promote a more dynamic running position. This reduces impacts from heel strike and increases running efficiency.
Speed Traction OutsoleSpecifically designed for weight saving, the Speed Traction is Scott's lightest in range. With its strategically placed outsole, it puts power down to the road in the most direct and efficient manner focusing on the forefoot traction for no loss of power. Lighter means you can run faster for longer. The rubber used is extremely durable, which means that it will be able to retain all of its properties over a long course of time.
