Scott combined all their years of expertise in advanced traction, rocker technology and trail running to create the Scott Ultra Carbon RC: their most technological trail racing product to date. Featuring a Carbitex GearFlex plate that keeps you moving efficiently for long hours combined with our evolved rocker technology. The new Ultra Traction outsole has strategically placed lugs to provide the best traction for those fast-rolling summer trail races. The shoe feels light and cushioned thanks to the brand's Kinetic Light Foam and high levels comfortable from a specifically designed engineer upper. The Scott Ultra Carbon RC is your go-to shoe for trail marathons to ultra race distances.

Surrounding the upper of the Ultra Carbon RC is an engineered mesh upper, which will provide you with supreme breathability. As you begin to exercise, the feet will start to warm up and sweat and the material will allow the hot air and moisture that is starting to build up to escape. This will then be replaced by cooler air, and this process will keep you feeling cool and ventilated over the course of your run. Providing protection from bumps and knocks that can easily occur on uneven and unpredictable trails, the shoes have TPU overlays. A traditional lacing system will allow you to find a fit that is both comfortable and secure, which will leave you feeling in complete control. The performance tongue will sit comfortably on the ankle and allow you to make unrestricted movements and an internal fit system feels as though the shoe was made for you. A racing footbed provides soft comfort directly in contact with the sole of the feet, and over time it will fit specifically to your feet.

Enhancing the properties of their existing high rebound foam (Kinetic Foam) this new lightweight foam has even more rebound in an even lighter package. Soft, light and responsive but with high levels of durability, the Ultra Carbon RC allows you to run faster for longer. A Carbitex GearFlex carbon fibre plate offers unique benefits by being dynamically flexible, responding to you by increasing stiffness as you increase speed, and retaining flexibility when walking. By dynamically increasing stiffness as it's flexed it gives you more power and efficiency when you need it, and ease of movement when you don't. It's like having a track spike and running shoe in one. Completing the midsole is an Evolved Roacker2 (ER2) which builds on 10 years of continued R and D, creating Scott's most efficient running platform yet. It applies an advanced understanding of biomechanical principles to promote a more dynamic running position. This reduces impacts from heel strike and increases running efficiency.

Scott's Ultra Traction outsole is designed specifically for ultra races on fast-rolling trails. It utilises a semi-radial design to give maximum efficiency in forward motion while maintaining multi-direction traction elements to keep you feeling confident when the trail starts to twist and turn. This newest traction solution is best suited to fast, smooth summer trails of any distance at any speed. Forming a solid connection with the trail, the rubber will anchor your feet in place, acting as a firm base to push off from. Designed to be extremely durable, the rubber is abrasion-resistant, preventing damage from occurring and affecting its functionality. Deep multi-directional lugs will dig into the ground which will further anchor and hold your feet in place, providing you with stability and control when taking off, braking, and changing direction.
