The Sealskinz Waterproof Cold Weather Socks feature a three layer construction which provides warmth, durability and waterproofing, ideal for any bad weather you may encounter. Using Merino wool lining, the sock provides maximum comfort. Finer than traditional wool with tiny overlapping scales that case each fibre, these scales are hydrophobic on the outside, and hydrophilic on the inside. Merino is therefore a wicking fibre and can absorb and release 10 times more moisture than synthetics. Each fibre can absorb up to one third of its own weight in moisture without feeling clammy or wet to the touch. The moisture is then wicked through the membrane where it can be evaporated to keep you feeling warm and dry. Zonal elastication is featured for added support and comfort where you need it most, and the four way stretch allows for a close yet stretchy fit for added comfort. Anti-Blister Technology within the sock prevents friction and rubbing which works to eliminate blistering, because Sealskinz know how those can ruin your day. Footbed padding works with your shoe to reduce pressure and absorb shock, leading to a more comfortable and injury free experience.
