Sika-Design's Rap chair is a graceful dining chair designed by Yuzuru Yamakawa in 1996. Comprising a slender steel structure and handwoven rattan surfaces, the armchair draws inspiration from many directions: Sika-Design's Danish design traditions, the designer's Japanese roots, as well as the art of Indonesian rattan weaving. The lightweight and modern Rap chair is equally suitable for use at the dining table, in the living room or in a lobby, and can also be used in covered outdoor areas if protected from moisture. The Rap chair is part of the Sika-Design’s Icons collection that features rattan classics from some of the most talented designers of our time.
