Breathable Upper
Supplying your feet with protection and comfort, the VECTIV Pro Trail Running Shoes have a breathable, protective upper. The materials shield feet from knocks and bumps on the trail, whilst ensuring a constant supply of airflow enters the shoes to keep your feet feeling fresh and comfortable during intense trail running sessions. The shoes have a redesigned width, to accommodate a broader set of consumers' foot shapes, allowing a more comforting fit. A soft, cushioned tongue sits against your foot comfortably, helping to prevent dirt and debris from entering, and tongue wings are added to reduce slippage, whilst enhancing the step-in comfort and fit. Working alongside this, the shoes have a traditional lace-up system, providing you with a locked-in fit and preventing in-shoe slippage from occurring.
VECTIV 2.0 MidsoleThe Summit VECTIV Pro Trail Shoes utilise a VECTIV 2.0 midsole compound for a comfortable, supportive ride. VECTIV technology uses a 3D-plate and rockered midsole underfoot for excellent comfort and propulsion. The rocker-shaped geometry, has a forked design through the heel, to provide long-lasting forward propulsion. Not only this, but the midsole has a 10mm greater toe spring than their predecessors for even more propulsion to help every stride. The midsole also offers a carbon-fibre plate with stability wings for further stability and support, providing you with the push you need on tricky terrain. A full-length EVA foam also resides through the midsection of these shoes, adding 4mm extra cushioning than their predecessors for a comfortable landing pad.
SurfaceCTRL OutsoleDesigned to be hardwearing and grippy the Summit VECTIV Pro have been developed using The North Face's signature SurfaceCTRL Rubber Outsole. This durable compound has been specially designed to ensure traction on both wet and dry surfaces. Not only does the outsole work exceptionally well on wet and dry terrain but it also works to ensure multi-directional traction on a wide range of surfaces. The highly durable rubber is strong enough to withstand the toughest trails yet, is flexible enough to adapt to different terrain so you can have complete control. The durable rubber provides a strong grip on the most challenging terrain; it works to protect itself from damage, and protect users from losing control and slipping. The outsole is designed to hold firm on uneven terrain so you can have complete confidence on the toughest terrains. Completing the outsole are 3.5mm lugs that provide a great balance between traction and durability on the trail. The lugs dig deep into wet mud and slippery rocks to ensure added traction and control. This will also benefit you by acting as a solid base for you to push off from when taking a stride, as well as digging into the ground when braking and changing direction.
