Tom Dixon’s Cut Short pendant is like a giant jewel which plays with light and perspectives in an exceptional way. The diamond-like shape of Cut lamp catches the eye even when the light is turned off – and when turned on, it transforms into a luminous kaleidoscope whose multifaceted surface creates endless new dimensions depending on the viewing angle. Its captivating optical effect was achieved by blow-moulding plastic polymer and metallizing the inner surfaces with a half-mirrored coating that becomes transparent only when the light is turned on.
