- EASY TO USE AND CLEAN: Before filling the unit with water, turn the power off and unplug the unit from outlet. Turn the tank upside down and remove the cap. Fill the tank with clean, cool water. We recommend using distilled water if you have hard tap water. Replace the cap and install the tank back onto the base. Turn your power knob to your preferred misting setting. To remove any scale or build up, use a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and lukewarm water to clean the inside of the tank.
