Harro Maass graduated in 1962 from the Werkkunstschule of Graphic Design Krefeld, Germany. He has worked as a freelance illustrator since 1974 and started painting wildlife in 1987. Articles about him can be found in Wildlife Art Magazine (March/April 2003) and US Art (August 2000). He depicts wildlife from those parts of the world he as himself visited.
