After reading law at Oxford, Seligman trained as a barrister and then joined a shipping company in the City. His heart was never really in the legal profession, so at the age of thirty, he decided to pursue his real passion art. In the early '80s he worked for celebrities such as Paul Simon and Prince Michael of Kent and then began pitching for commercial contracts. He has worked for Cathay Pacific, Warburgs and Schroders in London as a commercial artist, painting vast murals. He has also worked on a stained glass design for a shipping and conference complex in Hong Kong.
Giclee (jee-clay) is an advanced printmaking process for creating high quality fine art reproductions. The attainable excellence that Giclee printmaking affords makes the reproduction virtually indistinguishable from the original piece. The result is wide acceptance of Giclee by galleries, museums, and private collectors. Gallery wrap is a method of stretching an artist's canvas so that the canvas wraps around the sides and is secured a hidden, wooden frame. This method of stretching and preparing a canvas allows for a frameless presentation of the finished painting.
