Description
Originally introduced in 1978 and only the second model to receive the iconic Sidestripe, Vans’ reissue of the Sk8-Hi celebrates the hi-top silhouette with a vintage quality. A prime example of form follows function, the ‘above the ankle’ Sk8-Hi was originally intended to protect skateboarders' ankles, the most used and injured appendage of the body. The pig suede upper is coloured in a tan shade and comprises a padded collar in a ripple effect with a reinforced toecap containing perforated detail. Along with the iconic white Sidestripe, the lace fasten hi-tops feature tonal stitching and an ‘Off the Wall’ tag on the tongue and licence plate on the heel. The characteristic rubber waffle outsole provides a firmer grip. Upper: Pig Suede. Sole: Rubber.
