Varaluz Kalani 10-Light Shell and Crystal Chandelier
Description
The word Kalani is the Hawaiian word for "of the heavens or sky."" To some, it also has noble connotations meaning ""royal one."" For Varaluz, it is the culmination of a very regal collection of metal work styled in the grand traditions of Venetian glass and crystal chandeliers found in Smithsonian archival holdings. What makes the Kalani collection most striking is that we work in sustainable Capiz and upcycled Kabebe shells (reclaimed after food harvesting) with lead-free crystal to create a warm and inviting take on a glam fixture from days gone by, now reimagined for the modern day. Highlight: Collaboration with the Smithsonian Style: Coastal style Finish: Hand-painted in a low-VOC French gold finish Frame Materials: Hand-forged from 70% recycled steel Shade Materials: Upcycled kabebe shell, caramel capiz shell, and lead-free premium faceted crystal sunbursts Chain/Stem: Includes 10' of chain and 6"" of stem"
