Veja presents the V-12 B mesh trainers in a new colourway. Taking pride in their use of recycled materials and sustainable methods, this brand doesn’t put a foot out of line. Redesigning the traditional trainer silhouette in a sustainable way, the label takes care to create shoes ethically. The upper is crafted from B-mesh material, made from recycled bottles, overlaid with leather panelling and a signature rubber V. Using three plastic bottles per pair, these shoes are made from a breathable and water-repellent material that also helps to combat waste. Lined with soft jersey fabric, made from a blend of recycled polyester and organic cotton, the shoe provides superior comfort. Both the sole and insole are made out of wild rubber, bought directly from the Seringueiro communities in the Amazon rainforest. Although the old methods have been replaced, the silhouette remains familiar. Classic details include the round toe, low top style, lace-up fastening, branded tongue and contrast heel tab.
