Description
Aristotle (384-322 B.C.E.) numbers among the greatest philosophers of all time. A prodigious researcher and writer, Aristotle left a great body of work, perhaps numbering as many as two-hundred treatises, from which approximately thirty-one survive. His extant writings span a wide range of disciplines, from logic, metaphysics, and philosophy of mind, through ethics, political theory, aesthetics, and rhetoric, and into such primarily non-philosophical fields as empirical biology, where he excelled at detailed plant and animal observation and taxonomy. This beautiful cold-cast resin statue of Aristotle features a wonderful metallic bronze finish and has hand-painted accents to show off the detail. An orating Aristotle is shown carrying a book on Ethics, a particularly favorite subject of his. The base that Aristotle stands on features quotes by Aristotle on all sides. The statue measures 14 1/4 inches tall, 4 1/8 inches wide, and 3 1/2 inches deep. It makes a great gift for deep-thinkers. | Veronese Design Bronze Finish Aristotle Statue Philosophy
