Vitra’s HAL lounge chair is Jasper Morrison’s interpretation of a classic high-back armchair. The HAL lounge chair combines rounded oak legs with a flowingly shaped seat shell with removable seat and neck cushions. The shell is fully upholstered in cotton blend Dumet, which has a soft and vivid surface. The sleek and understated expression makes the HAL lounge chair well suited also for smaller rooms, public spaces or in the middle of the room. According to designer Jasper Morrison’s design philosophy, something considered normal is usually more useable than something special – that’s why the HAL chair collection is based on clear, functional principles. The timeless combination of plastic seat and wooden legs create a versatile collection of chairs for various different spaces and needs.
