Vitra Vlinder sofa
Description
Vitra’s Vlinder sofa is adorned with captivating woven patterns and unique textures created by Hella Jongerius, a Dutch textile designer and Vitra’s Art Director for colours and materials. A master of modern weaving technologies and colour design, Jongerius designed the abstract woven pattern of the Vlinder sofa using eight different colours, seven jacquard weaves and two thicknesses of yarn. The Vlinder sofa comprises an understated, rectangular body and a richly coloured textile cover and cushions that are held in place by their own weight. Under the wool blend fabric, you’ll find multiple layers of foam and feather-down-filling that give the sofa a luxuriously soft feel. For a more minimalist appearance, you can also use the sofa without the textile cover. A perfect companion for the Vlindler sofa is Vitra’s Bovist ottoman, also designed by Jongerius.
