When creating a fully lash look, especially when you are teaming it with a smokey eye, you need to build up the masquara in layers. I like to curl lashes beforehand to get a flattering, pretty look and then before applying the Masquara, I ensure I take off any excess product from the brush, by either wiping the brush through a tissue or scrapping it against the tube opening and then apply 2 or 3 coats. This technique allows you to build up your lash look, with thinner coats of products, so you get a natural looking full lash without looking clumping.
