Standard valance return height will be 1 ½" less than the valance height. This length will keep the rolled bottom of the valance from interfering with the return. Motorized shades are powered by a rechargeable motor. The motor charge generally lasts 3 - 6 months, with recharging required after 300 up/down cycles.
