One of only ten hand-customized pieces in the Levi’s® X Creative Growth collection. This one-of-a-kind item features the work of an artist with developmental disabilities. Using a Levi’s® Authorized Vintage Trucker Jacket as a canvas, the artist embellished the garment with their choice of medium and subject matter. Levi’s® is making a donation to Creative Growth Art Center to commemorate this collection. Susan is a textile and wood artist. She creates flowers using layered applique and embroidery techniques. Her charismatic cutouts of animals, cowboys, instruments and historical figures show her hand for expressive and detailed patterning throughout her woodworking projects. Susan plays a pivotal role between the deaf and hearing at Creative Growth, interpreting for her fellow deaf artists and teaching new ASL signs to hearing artists and staff.
