Description
In our latest collaboration, Tremaine Emory, the creative force behind Denim Tears, continues to use denim as a canvas for storytelling that explores the intersection of fashion and African American history. Taking inspiration from the rich past and enduring spirit of the Gullah Geechee;a people primarily from the coastal Lowcountry region of the U. S.;these 501® jeans are printed with indigo hands, harkening back to the Gullah Geechee's production of indigo while enslaved. In some cases, Emory shares, the dye became permanently embedded in their skin. The 501® DT is inspired by Tremaine's favorite archival 501® fit from 1954, updated with the iconic button fly. Authentic 501® jeans inspired by the Gullah Geechee people, with allover prints of indigo-dyed hands on a denim base Features Denim Tears' unique take on our iconic 501® fit and signature button fly Limited quantity
