The Chanel Deauville Tote first appeared in Chanel's Spring/Summer 2012 collection and became an editor's favorite. Named after Coco's favorite beach resort in Normandy, France, this large, slouchy bag is the perfect travel and vacation tote. Featuring open and zipper pockets, a key clasp, woven chain straps and top handles, this bag comes in many different color combos and fabrics, but most notably in the Chanel Canvas. Coco Chanel founded her namesake brand in 1910 when she opened a hat shop called Chanel Modes. Coco expanded her high-fashion product offerings and added sportswear, jewelry, handbags, tweed suits, and her first Haute Couture house. In 1982, Karl Lagerfeld was brought in as Creative Director to revive the brand. He created the instantly recognizable CC logo, reintroduced the Cruise collection, restored Haute Couture, created Chanel's Ready-to-Wear collection, and introduced the Classic Flap Bag.
