Primeknit Upper
Crafted using adidas Primeknit textile the 4DFWD 2 provides a sock-like fit that allows your foot to breathe freely on any run. This adidas Primeknit upper wraps the foot in adaptive support and ultralight comfort made to move as you do so you can keep working for longer. Engineered from heel to toe, the upper offers unrivalled softness that enhances touch and feel and has been teamed with an adaptive, engineered sock-fit collar. This feature expands to support your foot with every move. This adidas Primknit upper works in tune with the midsole to give you the support you need for a smooth, effortless stride. A sock-like forefoot with no edges, overlays or laces reduces the risk of discomfort for a distraction-free run while an integrated tongue sits comfortably against the foot to minimise the risk of irritation and increase comfort. Completing the upper is a traditional lacing system allowing you to have the most secure fit for you.

3D-Printed 4DFWD MidsoleThe 3D-printed 4DFWD midsole transforms vertical pressure and redirects the energy forwards, making your gait feel more like a glide. It has been designed to control and create energy whilst providing high-performance comfort. Programmed with 17 years of athlete data, the midsole ensures stability, support, cushioning and comfort as you power through your workout. This 3D-printed midsole uses digital light projection, oxygen-permeable optics and programmable liquid resin to create a cushioned, responsive ride while generating less waste material than ever before. A heel zone provides optimum cushioning which works to absorb impacts and shocks. When the heel strikes the ground the added cushioning disperses shocks, reducing the impact on the foot and allowing you to remain injury-free for longer. Additionally, the forefoot zone is structured to enhance forward motion. When your toes hit the track this forefoot zone helps to propel you forward, increasing energy and allowing you to achieve new personal bests. Lastly, a transition zone ensures a smoother heel-to-toe transition for a more dynamic ride.
