Waterproof Mesh Upper
Designed with a double-layer mesh, the Skuta walking shoe delivers unprecedented comfort and stability, as well as complete waterproofing. Sealing all moisture out, this will keep your feet dry and comfortable in all conditions. The mesh allows cool air to flow into the shoe whilst at the same time allowing hot air to escape leaving your feet cool, dry and comfortable at all times. It also works to provide a locked-in fit as the double-layered mesh provides an optimum fit. A tongue gusset prevents water and sand from entering the shoe and also fit comfortably against the skin to reduce irritation. Additionally, suede reinforcements around the toe and heel provide increased protection and durability on rocky terrains.
EVA MidsoleA full length EVA midsole offers extensive cushioning and protection from rough or rocky ground, allowing you to hike in comfort without worrying about your feet. The midsole also works to absorb shocks as your foot strikes the ground reducing strain on the foot. Furthermore, Gel cushioning has been strategically placed in the rear foot for further shock absorption on impact and comfort over long distances.
AHAR+ OutsoleDeveloped using Asics High Abrasion Resistant Plus rubber compounds on the heel area of these shoes, the outsole offers high levels of durability to protect against rough terrain. This material has an abrasion resistance of around three times higher than average rubber, making it ideal for the trails. Additionally, an engineered patterned outsole provides high traction as well as ample stability.
