This particular rug is the Oushak design but is made in the northern part of Afghanistan in the Mazar-e-Sharif region, by the Ibrahim family. Mr. Ibrahim and his family all help in washing and cleaning the wool, and then they dye it and weave it into a beautiful rug. They have taken the antique Oushak design and with vegetable dyes, produce magnificent rugs. The handcrafted touch of artisan skill creates variations in color, size and design.
